Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What does it mean to be a United Methodist Church?

New Creation is a local church within the United Methodist Church. It is located within the Corridor District of the North Carolina Conference. As a member of the global UMC, we follow the 2022 Revised Common Lectionary for weekly scriptures.

What should I expect when I visit?

New Creation is a welcoming church. Service begins promptly at 10:00am on Sunday mornings and typically lasts between 75-90 minutes. An usher will greet you as you enter the church and help to guide you through the service.

Where should I park?

There is a large parking lot adjacent to the church. Two handicapped spots are at the front of the parking lot as well as several others behind the church building.

Which door should I use to enter?

Please continue past the first door you see and proceed to the main entrance. A greeter will be there to welcome you into the building.

Is there Sunday School?

Sunday School is virtually available for adults at 2:00pm on Sunday afternoons. To get access to the Zoom link, contact the church office at 919-688-4578 or contactus@newcreationumcnc.org.

Is there a nursery available?

Children of all ages are always welcome at New Creation! Two trained nursery care workers serve children from birth to 5 years old. Just ask a greeter or usher to show you the way. Volunteers also host children’s church for students from kindergarten through fifth grade. They will be dismissed during worship.

How do I join the church?
